This is a long-term project in which I am making paintings that are based on the hexagrams of the YiJing. For each painting I toss coins to determine which hexagram I will paint next. I use both the oracle judgement and image (as well as other aspects from the lines and commentaries) to inform what the painting will look like. This has turned out to be a slow process and each painting takes a fair amount of time just sitting with the hex and finding my own reactions.
